Bridge Teeth

Bridge teeth close the gap caused by tooth loss. This method is used in tooth fractures. It is done by reducing the teeth and applying it to the bridge prosthesis. It is placed between two teeth. It is one of the first traditional treatments for tooth loss caused by trauma, tooth decay, gingival recession or different gingival diseases. The tooth prepared to close the gap is attached to the back of the tooth on the side of the gap. By making the surface of the natural tooth rough and adding an adhesive substance, both sides of the artificial teeth are passed to this substance bridge teeth so it is fixed. During the process, the existing intact teeth are not cut. However, these bridges are less durable. It is not recommended to apply to the posterior teeth.
  • Traditional Bridge: It is applied by filing-reducing the teeth on the right and left of the missing teeth. These act as bridge pillars. A dental bridge prosthesis is placed on the fixed teeth. It is very successful in terms of aesthetics. The bridge’s appearance is not clear to the naked eye.
  • Balcony (Suspended) Bridge: Also called free-ended bridge. It is applied only to the right or left of the damaged tooth. The natural tooth on the side of the cavity is cut and filed.
